Puerto Escondido and Tripui

Puerto Escondido and Tripui

Image Description

Puerto Escondido: One of the most beautiful natural harbors in Mexico – or anywhere in the world!

Lying about 10 miles south of Loreto, Puerto Escondido has two large protected anchorages capable of protecting hundreds of small craft, modern service and fuel docks, a restaurant, a boat launch, haul-out and boat maintenance facility, and immediate access to some of the most beautiful and interesting coastline and islands in the Baja.

In late 2011, there is also infrastructure in place for creation of more facilities and even a small town to complement the boating facilities and serve the boating community.  This is a site waiting for serious development catering to boaters, and large tracts are being offered here by Fonatur.   Between the harbor and the highway is Tripui, a combination of individual homes, long-term and short-term mobile home hookups, and a small hotel, restaurant and public facilities.  Puerto Escondido is a mini-community with a lot of expatriate Americans and Canadians, and a close and communal feel.
