This area of the site orients you physically and in terms of various kinds of transportation, on both large and small scale. Included is a map of all the Baja Peninsula, which is about 1000 miles long; one of the state of Baja California Sur, covering the southern half of the peninsula. For broader orientation – and as sort of a joke – we include the famous Absolut Vodka map of North America showing Mexico’s territory as it existed in 1800 (including most of the present southwest US), and the position of the Baja Peninsula with respect to the mainland of the continent. On a more serious note, we map the area from near Loreto north to the ferry terminus at Santa Rosalia. You will also find information on highway, sea and air transportation.
